Get This Look: Breath of Fresh Air

Who knew baby’s breath could be such a breath of fresh air! I absolutely love this look, it’s perfect for a wedding set outdoors or in a tent. While most brides vow they will never have baby’s breath in their wedding flowers, when you mass it out like this it takes on a whole new modern and fresh look. This Cluster is made up of about 15 bunches of large baby’s breath all tied together to give it this spectacular tree like look. Set atop an elegant glass trumpet vase 3 feet high and accented with glamorous sparkling jewels it’s truly the perfect look for a casual yet elegant affair with a touch of whimsy. This particular centerpiece is on an oval table so to balance out the center florals 2 large hurricane lamps with green pillar candles flank it on each side. The details that I think really make this tabletop special are the Garden Collection China and Tea Cups by Party Rental LTD. The single rose placed in each cup is also a super sweet accent!

Real Wedding - BREATH OF FRESH AIR

Who knew baby’s breath could be such a breath of fresh air! I absolutely love this look, it’s perfect for a wedding outdoors or in a tent. Set in a tent at Fernbrook Bed and Breakfast in Chesterfield, this look is ideal for this rustic setting on a spring day! The green and white color palette blends seamlessly with the nature filled backdrop. The look is fresh and modern with a touch of whimsy. I am big on first impressions so I love the fact that guests are greeted by abundant wreath of hydrangeas and sweeping ribbons, a welcoming touch! When guests enter the tent they are greeted by breathtaking centerpieces of massed out baby’s breath in a 3 foot tall glass vases accented with sparkling jewels. The way the baby’s breath is used truly gives this traditional bloom with a bad rep new life! . This particular centerpiece is on an oval table so to balance out the center florals 2 large hurricane lamps with green pillar candles flank it on each side. The tablecloths and polka dot napkins were actually provided by Fernbrook who has there own stock of great linens and décor items. The details that I think really make this tabletop special are the Garden Collection China and Tea Cups by Party Rental LTD. The single rose placed in each cup is also a super sweet accent! The cake designed by Main Street Catering is subtle and petite but makes a big statement. The Bride wore an elegant sweeping gown with simple lines to keep it formal but not fussy. I also love the simple side swept hair. The Bouquet was a simple array of seasonal flowers in white and green accented by a dangling gold chain. This look is unexpected and refreshingly perfect!

Get this look: Fancy Place Settings

A fancy place setting can really take your wedding up a notch and give it a truly custom look! Charger plates are a great addition to any table but can be costly, for a less expensive route try renting a base plate in a fun china pattern for a fraction of the cost. You can also ask your venue if they have additional plates they can put down as a base plate. Napkins are also a great way to infuse some color into your place setting, you can rent a basic poly cotton for about a $1, then you an dress it up with some ribbon, bling, raffia, bear grass...the possibilities are endless. If you are interested in doing something like this, ask your venue if you and your Bridesmaids can come in a day or 2 before your wedding and do all the napkin treatments, typically if your doing anything other then a standard napkin fold the venue won't do it for you. Another Tip, keep you eye out around the holidays, with all the fancy sparkle and ornaments on sale you may be able to find something that can be used as a decorative item on your place setting. Menus also not only let guests know what their eating but also add great aesthetic value to your tabletop. There are tons of great options on line and of course this is a great DIY project. Check out your local craft stores and get creative with fun papers and fancy punchers in every shape you can imaging! Check out some of these looks.
